Great activities for the active family
The surrounding area Vesterland offers many different activities for families with children of all ages! Here are some of our tips, all in close proximity to Vesterland .
Hike to Kaupangerholten
This short hike is suitable for the whole family. Although it is not particularly demanding, it offers beautiful views.
The trip is approx. 2.7 km round trip, and varies between forest road and path. Starting point is 5 min drive from Vesterland .

Visit Sogn Folk Museum
Sogn Folkemuseum - The Heiberg Collections - is located nearby Vesterland . Here you will find a large outdoor museum with buildings from different periods, a playground, a farm and a nature trail. Everything is beautifully located and spread out over a beautiful outdoor area.
Follow the forest road from cabin 28 on Vesterland , then you will come to the back of the museum. Walk through the area to buy a ticket in their main building.

Frisbee golf
Kaupanger The frisbee golf course is located in scenic surroundings, just a short walk from Vesterland The course is well suited for both beginners and more experienced players, and provides a nice combination of activity and nature experience for the whole family.
Bring a frisbee and follow the trails through the forest and open countryside as you try your hand at diving in the various caves. This is a social and fun activity that is suitable for both young and old.
